Tulsa County Jurors Excused for the Next Two Weeks

File photo

A faulty drain pipe means you might be getting out of jury duty.

"The Tulsa County district judges decided they would cancel jury duty for the next two weeks," said Tulsa County spokesman Michael Willis. "So any juror that was summoned for Sept. 15–19 or 22–26 will be excused from jury duty."

The courthouse basement flooded last week when the pipe failed. The jury assembly room is fit for use, but judges decided construction in the Court Services Office would inconvenience jurors.

Jury trials are the only court service affected.
