Tulsa County Commissioners Okay Pay Hikes

Tulsa County

Following up on action by the budget board, Tulsa County Commissioners today okay pay hikes for elected leaders, including themselves. The move gives eight county officials a salary boost of more than two thousand dollars annually to $104,498. Only John Smaligo’s deputy on behalf of his boss, voted against the hike. The deputy for Karen Keith and Commission Chairman Ron Peters voted yes. Peters says he feels like the increases are deserved, considering the work load and comparable salaries in the private sector. The pay hikes are retroactive to July 1st.
