Tulsa, OK – Tulsa city councilor John Eagleton proposes a dramatic reduction in the new budget offered by Mayor Bartlett. He wants to tie any increase to no more than the core inflation rate...about one-and-a-half percent. That would cut millions from the city's operating budget. Eagleton calls it a prudent move, but others find slicing millions unacceptable. He'll propose his plan as a budget amendment in advance of final approval, which must come before the end of the month.
