Tulsa, OK – City Councilors plan to try and override the mayor's veto of a resolution stripping the Tulsa trash board of its' authority
Mayor Bartlett vetoed the council action Monday, but the dispute isn't over. Councilor Bill Christiansen is author of the measure taking away the TARE Board's ability to contract with trash haulers .

He says the city's chief executive, the mayor, is the one who should have authority to contract with garbage collectors. Mayor Bartlett disagrees, saying the TARE Board was created as a trust with the ability to enter into multi-year contracts primarily for that purpose.
