Tulsa Church Sends Message to Burglar

KWGS News

A Tulsa church is turning the other cheek.  But, one must wonder if the church has its collective tongue in that cheek.

The East Side Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) was burglarized two weeks ago. The church lost about a $1,000 worth of electronics and food.

On the church’s marquee on 15th near Harvard is a sign, inviting the burglar next time to stay for church.  Church leaders say the sign is serving two purposes. One, to let neighbors know that there was a break-in in that area. They say it is also a message to the burglar that they are not mad and are a forgiving congregation.
