Tulsa Bank Robbed

Tulsa, OK – Shots fired during Oklahoma bank robbery

TULSA, Okla. (AP) Police say no one was injured when shots were fired during a bank robbery in Tulsa.

Capt. Rick Helberg described the scene as pretty chaotic inside the Bank of America near 71st Street and U.S. 169 yesterday afternoon.

Officers say a white male armed with a semi-automatic pistol walked into the bank about 2:30 p.m., fired a shot into the ceiling and demanded money from the teller. Officers say the robber lost some of the cash before running out the door.

Police say no customers were in the bank at the time.

The gunman is described as standing about 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighing about 250 to 270 pounds. He was wearing a brown Carhart jacket and pants, a blue hoodie and a black ski mask.
