Tulsa Air Base Stand-Off is Over, Woman in Custody

KWGS News

A woman is getting psychiatric treatment after holding law enforcement at bay at the Tulsa Air National Guard Station.  She was driving an SUV and circling the flagpole at the air base on the northeast side of the Tulsa International Airport.

She told authorities that she had a bomb and would explode it.  After several hours of give-and-take with police negotiators she came out of her SUV and surrendered to authorities.

Police doubt she had any type of device, but are checking the car. The Air Base was placed on lock down. Jets flying into and out of Tulsa were using the east-west runway at the time.
