The University of Oklahoma Board of Regents will consider raising tuition and fees by an average of about 5 percent at OU during its regular meeting on Wednesday.
The regents also will consider tuition hikes at two other universities it governs — Rogers State University in Claremore and Cameron University in Lawton.
The items were placed on the board's agenda, which was posted on Monday.
For a resident student at OU taking 15 credit hours, the flat rate of tuition and fees will increase about $185, from $3,847 to $4,032.
The Board of Regents for Oklahoma State University and the A&M Colleges approved similar rate hikes at its regular meeting last week.
The cuts follow the Oklahoma Legislature's decision to cut state appropriations for higher education by about 2.4 percent.
