Truck and Train Collide

By KWGS

Verdigris, OK – A railroad crossing near Verdigris was closed down for several hours because of a truck-train collision. People were kept back from the scene because the truck was carrying chemotherapy supplies, some of which are labeled radioactive. The truck driver was taken to a hospital, but it's not believed he has life-threatening injuries. The crash occurred at the Gordon Road crossing, just east of Verdigris in Rogers County. Highway 66 traffic wasn't impacted, but the side road was closed for several hours for the crash investigation and clean-up.
