Oklahoma City, OK – The cash strapped Teachers' Retirement System in Oklahoma is still about seven-point-six billion underfunded . But a Tulsa Senator says things are looking better. Mike Mazzei is the head of the Senate Select Committee on Pensions.
The pension systems 10-billion dollars unfunded liability has been cut to seven-point-six billion. Mazzei says without the savings we could be looking at some steep tax increases.
