SAYRE, Okla. (AP) A Beckham County judge has dismissed one of four felony charges against a fired Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper who allegedly had sex with a teenager in his patrol car.

The charge of embezzlement by appropriation against 45-year-old Ronnie Arganbright was dismissed Wednesday. The charge stems from allegations that he had sex with the girl in his patrol car while on duty. The remaining charges are lewd and indecent acts with a child younger than 16, use of an electronic device to facilitate sex with a minor and seduction of an unmarried female.

Defense attorney Josh Welch told The Oklahoman that he plans to appeal. Welch has said the girl was 16 when the two had sex.

Arganbright was fired in February after an OHP investigation into the allegations.
