Trio Killed Near Stillwater

By AP

Stillwater, OK – 3 killed in 3-vehicle collision in Payne County

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says three people were killed and two others were critically injured in a three-vehicle collision northeast of Stillwater in Payne County.

Troopers say Vance Cobey of Morrison and Jenifer Knott and Jenah Knott of Pawnee died in the collision just after 7 p.m. Thursday.

Investigators say Cobey was a passenger in a pickup truck that crossed the center line of State Highway 108 and collided head-on with a car carrying the Knotts. The truck then crashed into a third vehicle.

The drivers of both the pickup and the third car are hospitalized in critical condition while a 7-year-old girl who was in the third car was treated and released at a Stillwater hospital.
