Trimble Suspended

Jenks, OK – Jenks football coach suspends himself

JENKS, Okla. (AP) The coach of one of Oklahoma's most prominent high school football programs has suspended himself for the rest of the season.

Jenks coach Allan Trimble's decision comes in the wake of a ruling by the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association earlier this semester that one of the Trojans' players was ineligible.

The district subsequently had an attorney investigate the school's football program. The results of that investigation were released Friday and found that Trimble, athletic director Tony Dillingham and others within the program committed "numerous personal and institutional errors and omissions" in dealing with Jenks players and following OSSAA rules.

Trimble said in an e-mail to Jenks parents and booster club members that he will be completely removed from the football program for the rest of the season.
