Tornado Damage Confirmed at Adair

The National Weather Service in Tulsa says it was a tornado that hit the Mayes County town of Adair on Saturday afternoon.

The service says winds were up to 80-miles an hour. The tornado formed on the leading edge of some fast moving thunderstorms. It happened so fast, that there was not time to issue a Tornado Warning ahead of the twister.

There were no injuries. The tornado did caused some tree and building damage in the town of just over 700-people.
