A Tony for a Tulsan

NEW YORK (AP) — Christopher Durang's "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike" has won the best play Tony Award.

Billy Porter, who plays a fierce drag queen in "Kinky Boots," won the Tony for best actor in a musical and Tulsa native Tracey Letts takes home the trophy for best performance by an actor in a play for playing George in "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?"

Cicely Tyson has won best leading actress in a play for her performance in "The Trip to Bountiful."
