Midwest City, OK – Toddler killed in Okla. car crash

MIDWEST CITY, Okla. (AP) A toddler has been killed in a car crash in Midwest City.

Police say an 18-year-old driver crashed into a car in front of him on Thursday evening. The crash totaled the front car and killed 23-month-old Kaylee Hilton.

The driver of the rear car, Anthony Clifton, told investigators he had turned his eyes to the side of the road for a moment and didn't see the driver ahead of him slowing down. Authorities say Clifton was driving slightly faster than the speed limit.

Kaylee was airlifted to the University of Oklahoma Medical Center. She was pronounced dead Saturday.

Her mother, Ashley Hilton of Nicoma Park, and the driver of the front car, Vincent Marino, suffered minor injuries.

No charges have been filed yet.
