Toddler Drowns in Rogers County

KWGS News

OOLOGAH, Okla. (AP) — Authorities say a toddler drowned in Rogers County after wandering off while his grandmother was babysitting for him.

Officials say 23-month-old Cutter Emmons of Owasso was with his grandmother at a residence in Oologah when the incident happened at about 7 a.m. Saturday.

Authorities say that the grandmother saw the baby face down in a pond and pulled him out of the water. The woman's adult son was asleep inside the residence. She summoned him and the two tried to revive the baby.

Emergency responders took the toddler to a hospital in

Owasso, where he was pronounced dead.
