Tisdale Honored in Washington

Washington, D.C. – US House honors Tisdale

TULSA, Okla. (AP) The U.S. House of Representatives has voted 418-0 for a resolution honoring the life of the late Wayman Tisdale.

The resolution was co-sponsored by Oklahoma Representatives Tom Cole, John Sullivan, Frank Lucas, Mary Fallin and Dan Boren.

Tisdale was an All-American at Oklahoma and helped the U.S. win an Olympic gold medal before going on to an NBA career and becoming an accomplished jazz musician.

Tisdale died in May at age 44 of complications from bone cancer.
