Time to Get Your Family Ready for Winter

Some parts of the state are hard hit, but the Tulsa area gets off easy during the season’s first brush with winter weather. But Tulsa Area Emergency Manager Roger Joliffe says it’s a wake-up warning to get ready for the inevitable storm that will hit here. He says every family should have a plan and an emergency kit to deal with the impact of ice, cold, and snow.

Joliffe says winter preparedness should include an emergency supply of food and medications, a change of clothes, and a way to keep your home heated in case of a power outage.
