Three Dead in Crash

By AP

Madill, OK –

MADILL, Okla. (AP) The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says three people have died after a stolen sport utility vehicle crashed into another SUV during a police chase that began in Madill.

The names of the three were not immediately released.

The OHP says Chickasaw Lighthorse Police, Marshall County deputies and Madill police were chasing the stolen SUV Monday on U.S. 70 when the driver turned off the headlights and crashed into an oncoming SUV.

Troopers say two people in the oncoming SUV were killed and a third person is hospitalized in unknown condition. The OHP says the driver of the stolen SUV died at an Oklahoma City hospital.

Troopers say the chase began when the Lighthorse officer saw the stolen SUV being driven in a secured area of a closed auto dealership in Madill.
