Those Cleaning Up After Storms Urged to Be Cautious in Heat and Humidity

American Red Cross-Tulsa

As a result of Monday night’s storms in Washington County, some are still without power, and some without homes. Initial assessments show 25 homes destroyed or with major damage and 128 others affected. A concern is for people out trying to clean up in this heat and humidity. Brian Jensen is Regional Red Cross Disaster Officer for Eastern Oklahoma. He says it’s important to stay hydrated and rest frequently. The Red Cross is providing a cooling station.

The cooling station where people can rest and get a meal is at the Bluestem Baptist Church in Dewey.
