Tulsa, OK – Man killed in Tulsa store by former reserve deputy
TULSA, Okla. (AP) A former Okmulgee County reserve deputy has shot and killed a man inside a Tulsa convenience store.
Police say the former deputy was talking to the store owner about 7:20 p.m. Tuesday when a man the deputy had once arrested entered and the two argued. Capt. Karen Tipler says the man then showed a gun his waistband and the former deputy drew a gun and fired several times.
Tipler says the man was hit several times in the torso and was dead at the scene.
She says the former deputy has a permit to carry a concealed weapon and is being questioned but has not been arrested.
Neither man's name has been released.
