Temporary Tulsa Public Defender Gets the Job Permanently

File photo

Tulsa County district judges vote to make Rob Nigh Chief Public Defender permanently. He’s been running the office since December, after the Chief P-D then, Jack Zanerhaft, resigned. Judges on Wednesday took the ‘interim’ off Nigh’s title. Nigh first came to Tulsa to work for the Public Defender twenty years ago, before leaving for private practice…now he’s back as the Chief of the office.

Nigh will serve only part-time until he disposes of his remaining private practice and federally appointed cases.
