Teen Hit While Skateboarding in the Middle of BA's Main Street

BA Police-Facebook

A Broken Arrow teenager is in critical condition after being hit by a car on her way to school. Broken Arrow Police Corporal Leon Calhoun says it happened about 7:15 a.m. in the 1200 block of Main Street in Broken Arrow.

He says the girl was apparently riding a skateboard down the middle of the street when she was struck. Corporal Calhoun says it was still fairly dark at the time and the girl would have been hard to see.  It does not appear the driver was at fault.

He says there is a growing problem in Broken Arrow with kids skate boarding in the middle of streets.
