Tulsa Community College hosts a STEM Symposium for students from middle school to college to explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) careers. The half-day symposium allows students to do hands-on projects like build a solar car or learn about aquaponics or robotics.
The Union & Bixby middle school students are on TCC Northeast Campus Wednesday as part of a week long Summer Engineering Camp. The students will spend each day on a different college campus and touring a different Tulsa business.
The Summer Engineering Camp is funded through the AEP Foundation Credits Count grant to the TCC Foundation with a focus on STEM experiences for young students from first generation families.
