Talihina is Flooded after Heavy Rain

Wikipedia

They are hoping for a little sunshine in the scenic mountain town of Talihina. Officials say the community got six inches of rain in about four hours overnight. That caused massive flash flooding in the town.

LeFlore County Emergency Manager Michael Davidson says the flood water caused damage to a nursing home, several apartments and the town’s hospital. He says the high school also took in flood waters. He says nine classrooms were damaged.

The damage was caused by flash flooding and not a river. In all, there were no injuries, but Davidson says the need no more rain.
