By AP

Grove, OK – Okla. man accused in grandfather's shooting death

(Information in the following story is from: Tulsa World, http://www.tulsaworld.com)

JAY, Okla. (AP) A man charged in Delaware County with fatally shooting his 82-year-old grandfather and badly wounding his uncle is fighting his return to Oklahoma from Missouri, where he was arrested.

The Tulsa World reports that 35-year-old Joshua David White of Jay was arrested Thursday after a deputy saw him in far northeast Oklahoma and pursued him into McDonald County, Mo.

White's wife, Micah White, was driving the vehicle. Officials say she is charged with accessory to murder. Micha White was returned Friday to Oklahoma, where her bail was $100,000.

An arrest affidavit states that Joshua White told deputies as he was being handcuffed that the shootings were in self-defense.

Joshua White's uncle, 62-year-old Lonny Alexander, was flown to a Fayetteville, Ark., hospital where his left arm had to be amputated.
