Sunday Morning Quarterback: Rough Weekend in Oklahoma

TU Sports Information

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Mike White threw three unanswered touchdown passes to Andre Davis in the second half and South Florida overcame a 20-point deficit to defeat Tulsa 38-30 yesterday. Dane Evans threw for 314 yards and a touchdown to lead the Golden Hurricane on Saturday.

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Michael Hunnicutt missed a 19-yard field goal late as Number 14 Kansas State held off 11th ranked Oklahoma 31-30 yesterday afternoon. Oklahoma, trailing by a point in the fourth quarter, drove to the Kansas State 1-yard line, but couldn't punch the ball in. Hunnicutt then missed the short field goal that would have put the Sooners ahead with 3:53 remaining in Norman.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Trevone Boykin threw for a career-high 410 yards with three touchdowns, two on long plays to Josh Doctson in the first quarter, and 12th ranked TCU emphatically bounced back with a 42-9 victory over Number 15 Oklahoma State yesterday. Oklahoma State, which had won five in a row, was outgained 676 to 258 yards. OSU was held without a touchdown for the first time since a 27-0 loss to Oklahoma in the 2009 regular season finale.
