Sunday Morning Quarterback

By AP

Undated – Here is the latest Oklahoma sports news from The Associated Press

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) Landry Jones threw three touchdowns to Ryan Broyles, leading top-ranked Oklahoma back from a rare home deficit to beat Missouri 38-28 last night. With two starting receivers out of the lineup, Broyles had to play up to his usual All-American standard without his proven teammates Kenny Stills and Trey Franks. The Sooners avenged last year's upset loss in Columbia to stay Number One.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) Brandon Weeden threw for a school-record 438 yards and two scores as Number 7 Oklahoma State rallied for a 30-29 win over Number 8 Texas A&M yesterday at Kyle Field. The Aggies built a 20-3 halftime lead before the Cowboys took advantage of three Texas A&M turnovers and numerous penalties to reel off 27 straight points to take a 30-20 lead. All-American receiver Justin Blackmon and Josh Cooper combined for 244 yards for OSU.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) Jerrell Givens intercepted Tulsa quarterback G.J. Kinnie twice and Number 4 Boise State rolled to a 41-21 win in its home opener Saturday night. The win was the Broncos 33rd consecutive regular season victory at home.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) Evans Okotcha rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown as UT-San Antonio rode a 34-point second quarter to a 54-7 home victory Saturday over Bacone. The Roadrunners intercepted Bacone quarterback Michael Cook three times, including a pick Steven Kurfehs returned 45 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter. Cook finished with 177 yards passing for the Warriors.
