Tulsa, OK – Oklahoma Aerospace Summit set to start in Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. (AP) Gov. Mary Fallin is scheduled to be a keynote speaker during the annual Oklahoma Aerospace Summit and Expo in Tulsa this week.

The event will run from Monday through Wednesday. Fallin says she helped start the event 10 years ago, when she was Oklahoma's lieutenant governor, when she realized how important an industry aerospace has become to the state.

The Oklahoma Aerospace Alliance says more than 500 aerospace companies provide about 140,000 direct and indirect jobs in the state.

Companies from Canada and Japan are among those scheduled to attend the event. Fallin is scheduled to speak there Tuesday afternoon.
