StoryCorps: Germans in the Woods

Public Radio Tulsa is bringing back StoryCorps, a revolutionary oral history project that lets everyone record their stories.  Listen to Public Radio 89.5 for recordings from the StoryCorps’ mobile booth, parked at Guthrie Green in downtown Tulsa.  These will be stored at the Library of Congress for generations to come. Joseph Robertson was an infantryman in the U.S. Army during World War II, where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge. The stark black and white images in this animation are haunting, just as Robertson is haunted by his memories from that battle.
