A large thunderstorm complex is expected to develop across southern
Kansas Tuesday evening. This thunderstorm complex will likely spread
across northeast Oklahoma and western Arkansas Tuesday night through
Wednesday morning. A risk of severe weather will accompany the
strongest storms with locally damaging winds the primary concern.
Dry and hot weather will prevail for late week into the weekend
with afternoon heat index values of 100 to 105 degrees common.
