Storm Causes Power Problems Across Oklahoma

OG&E File photo

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) —Oklahoma's largest electric utility is reporting about 3,300 customers without power as a storm system with sleet, ice and rain moves across the state.

Oklahoma Gas and Electric reported early Friday evening there were 1,180 customers with power in Yukon, and another 600 without electricity in Oklahoma City. Most of the other outages were reported in northwest Oklahoma, including about 500 in Enid and nearly 600 in the town of Seiling.

Public Service Company of Oklahoma — the state's second largest electric utility — reported early Friday evening they had no outages affecting more than 100 customers in any of its service areas in eastern and southwest Oklahoma.

An ice storm warning is in effect for western Oklahoma until noon Saturday and parts of central Oklahoma are under both a winter weather advisory and a flash flood watch.
