The Oklahoma Highway Patrol announced well in advance that it would crack down on DUI over the Fourth of July holiday weekend. One of those arrested was an on-duty State Trooper.
OHP Captain George Brown says Trooper Joshua Davies was arrested near Sallisaw after he crashed his 2009 Ford Expedition patrol vehicle. The SUV had minor damage. He was pulling a boat with the patrol vehicle. The boat was a complete loss.
Captain Brown says Trooper Davies was on duty at the time. He was arrested by fellow Highway Patrol Troopers and booked into the jail at Sallisaw.
