Broadway star and Broken Arrow alumna Kristin Chenoweth was nothing but smiles as she walked through her childhood elementary school with a sizeable monetary donation and more than 400 cookies for current students.
While home for her third master class at the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center, Chenoweth presented a $20,000 check from the Kristin Chenoweth Arts and Education Fund to Broken Arrow Public Schools' fine arts programs.
“The work that I’ve done this past this year has been a gift to me,” said Chenoweth during a press conference at Vandever Elementary. “It’s because of music that I get to give back to music and that is why I’m here today.”
