Spiked Red Bull Leads to M&Ms on Oklahoma Road

VINITA, Okla. (AP) — Police say a truck driver who spiked his Red Bull with liquor wrecked his rig on a northeastern Oklahoma highway, spilling M and M candies, hair products and baby wipes across the road.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Ben Bertram says the driver was arrested on a complaint of drunken driving after the accident early Friday on U.S. 60 west of Vinita. The wreck triggered crashes involving another tractor-trailer rig and a pickup truck and prompted police to close an 11-mile stretch of the highway.

The Tulsa World reported Friday that no injuries were reported and police didn't release the names of anyone involved. Nothing hazardous spilled.

Bertram says the driver acknowledged drinking Red Bull but added that something else had been mixed in with the drink, prompting the drunken driving complaint.
