Southwestern Oklahoma Center Named for Pioneer Cellular

SWOSU

WEATHREFORD, Okla. (AP) — A new event center on the campus of Southwestern Oklahoma State University will be named the Pioneer Cellular Event Center.

Pioneer Cellular says a joint venture with Southwestern Oklahoma and the city of Weatherford gives the company exclusive naming rights.

Southwestern Oklahoma President Randy Beutler says university officials are excited about the partnership. Beutler says the event center will provide a venue for large community events in Weatherford that will benefit all of western Oklahoma. He says officials are grateful to Pioneer Cellular on being a great corporate sponsor.

The Pioneer Cellular Event Center will open in November. Pioneer has made long term investments and commitments in both technology and advancements in education in western Oklahoma and southern Kansas for more than 25 years.
