Tulsa, OK – 18-of those 21-Tulsa Police officers given layoff notices last week are back to work. The city is using a federal grant to pay their salaries. Because they were re-hired with in a seven day period, Tulsa Police Captain Jonathan Brooks says the officers will receive full pay.

The city cut the officers because it lack the funds to pay them.

Captain Brooks says the attention is now focused on the other three laid-off officers and how to find funds to bring them back.

Some of the dismissed officers return to patrol tonight at mid-night.
