Solar Impulse 2 is Here

(c) Solarimpulse 2

A solar-powered airplane has made it to Oklahoma on the latest leg of its around-the-world journey.

The aircraft touched down at Tulsa International Airport around 11:15 p.m. Thursday.

The Swiss-made Solar Impulse 2 had taken off from Phoenix Goodyear Airport around 3 a.m. Next, the plane is expected to make at least one more stop in the U.S. before crossing the Atlantic to Europe or Africa.
