Snow Hampers Travel in Tulsa Metro

O-Dot Traffic Camera

The ice and snow made the morning commute slow and painful for many Green Country Residents.

City of Tulsa rolled out its sand-salt trucks about 7 p.m. last night. The focus was on the arterial streets for city crews.  The crews have 35-routes totaling more than 1,700 lane miles in Tulsa.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is taking care of the expressway system.  Oklahoma Department of Transportation crews continue to plow and treat are highways with salt and sand, and caution drivers to be alert to these operations.

Crews in the Oklahoma City and Tulsa metro areas report slick and dangerous conditions on bridges and overpasses. If travel is necessary, drivers should prepare for slow driving conditions and use extreme caution.
