The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office has filed a petition for a hearing in a civil case to determine the cost of caring for more than 20 animals that were taken from a home in Turley last week.
The Tulsa World reports that deputies took 19 dogs, two puppies and a cat from the home June 27.
The petition filed Friday alleges that boarding, food and water for the animals, which are being housed at the Humane Society of Tulsa's emergency shelter, will cost about $210 per day.
The petition also says that initial medial costs for the animals were more than $1,500 total.
The hearing in the civil case is scheduled for Thursday.
Court records say the owner of the home, Roy Wright, is charged with 20 criminal counts of cruelty to animals.
