Oklahoma City, OK – Funerals for 2 Oklahoma soldiers announced

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The Oklahoma National Guard says funeral arrangements have been made for two soldiers who were killed in Afghanistan late last month.

Officials announced Sunday that the funeral for 22-year-old Pvt. 1st Class Augustus J. Vicari, of Broken Arrow will be held at Holy Name Church in Lowell, Indiana, on Tuesday. Services for 33-year-old 2nd Lt. Jered Ewy will be held at Henderson Hills Baptist Church in Edmond Thursday morning.

Military officials said both died July 29 while conducting a dismounted patrol.

Both soldiers and two others who died in Afghanistan this month are members of the 45th Infantry Brigade.
