OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A series of earthquakes has shaken parts of Oklahoma.
The U.S. Geological Survey says a 2.8 magnitude temblor was recorded at 12:38 p.m. Sunday about seven miles south-southeast of Blanchard in Grady County in central Oklahoma. The earthquake was recorded at a depth of about five miles.
It was the second earthquake recorded near Blanchard on Sunday. The first occurred in the same area at about 2 a.m. at a depth of about three miles.
Geologists say two other earthquakes were recorded Sunday. A 2.5 magnitude quake was recorded at 6:13 a.m. about two miles northeast of Medford in Grant County in northern Oklahoma. Another 2.5 magnitude quake was recorded at 12:20 a.m. about 18 miles south of Alva in nearby Woods County.
No damage or injuries were immediately reported.
