Tulsa, OK – Seasonal flu vaccine starting to run out in Okla.
TULSA, Okla. (AP) Several medical groups are reporting that they're already running out of vaccine against the seasonal flu.
State Health Department immunization chief Don Blose says demand for seasonal flu vaccine seems unusually high. Blose says the problem is caused by vaccine manufacturers trying distribute both the seasonal flu vaccine and the swine flu or H1N1 virus vaccine.
National Community Pharmacists Association spokesman Kevin Schweers says Oklahoma, Georgia and Kansas are among the first states reporting seasonal flu vaccine shortages. He says he believes the first report came from a pharmacy in Midwest City.
