Oklahoma City, OK. – OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says a weapon agents believe was used to kill two Weleetka girls may have been sold at a gun show in Tulsa in March.
Officials again appealed to the public on Thursday for help in finding the .40-caliber Glock 22 handgun that may have been used in the 2008 fatal shootings of 11-year-old Skyla Whitaker and 13-year-old Taylor Paschal-Placker. Agents say previous publicity about the weapon has produced no viable leads.
Skyla and Taylor were found on a dirt road near Taylor's home just outside of Weleetka.
Investigators say the owner of the gun isn't suspected in any crimes, but they want that person to contact them. A $5,000 reward is being offered for the firearm.
The serial number on the gun is EKG463US.
