Sandy Hook: Oklahoma's Response

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Gov. Mary Fallin has declared Friday as a day of remembrance in Oklahoma for the victims of the deadly school shooting in Connecticut.

Fallin issued a proclamation asking Oklahomans to observe the day of remembrance with a moment of silence, reflection or prayer.

Twenty students and six adults were killed last week at the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.

Fallin is also asking Oklahomans to wear green — the Sandy Hook school color — in remembrance of those killed.
