Tulsa, OK – Tulsa-based Samson Investments is being sold for seven-point-two billion dollars. Samson is an oil and gas business funded by late Tulsan Charles Schusterman.
It is being purchased by the K-K-R investment firm. One of the "K's" stands for Henry Kravis, a native Tulsan.
In a news release K-K-R says it plans to keep Samson based in Tulsa.
