TULSA, Okla. (AP) The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office is making changes to its policy on Tasers to better track their use.
Undersheriff Brian Edwards says deputies and jailers will be required to test-fire the stun guns at squad meetings. The use of Tasers will also be audited every 90 days to better track the testing and use of the weapons.
The changes come after three sheriff's department employees resigned and three others were disciplined for unauthorized employee-on-employee use of the stun guns.
