Red Flag Warning for Region

  The National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from 11 AM this morning to 6 PM CST
this evening. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* AFFECTED AREA...IN Oklahoma, Osage, Washington, Nowata, Craig,
  Ottawa, Pawnee, Tulsa, Rogers, Mayes, Creek, Okfuskee,
  Okmulgee, and Wagoner counties.

* WIND...West to northwest winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts around
  30 mph. Stronger winds are likely on Tuesday with northwest
  winds gusting at 35 to 45 mph.

* HUMIDITY...Afternoon humidity values 15 to 25 percent today and
  Tuesday.

* TEMPERATURE...High temperatures in the mid to upper 60s today and
  Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A red flag warning means that a dangerous combination of weather
conditions and dry vegetation is expected within 24 hours,
favoring rapid growth and spread of any wildfires. The primary
weather factors include stronger winds, lower humidities, and
warmer temperatures.
