With federal funding restored, the U-S Army Corp of Engineers begins the task of reopening its lake recreation areas. The corps’ Ross Adkins says it could take a few days.

ROSS ADKINS: We have to go in and make sure that everything is operational. In other words, make sure the toilets are working, the electrical boxes are okay, the water is on and so on and so forth."

Adkins says  in some cases they may need to mow. They hope to have most locations reopened by the weekend.
